    Tree Removal

We provide fully insured tree removal by ISA Certified Arborists. There are typically three options for plant care: treatment, removal, or no treatment. Removal is recommended when a tree is past threshold for good health due to old age, damage from a storm, human intervention, or pests and disease, or it is hazardous. We have the expertise to safety remove the tree regardless of the situation. Give us a call for a free quote today.

    Tree Pruning and Healthcare

We provide fully insured tree pruning by ISA Certified Arborists. Pruning trees is part of a standard tree health care, helping to sure their crowns are strong. Pruning also helps to ensure increased light and airflow to the branches to prevent pathogens, increases fruit production, and also improves aesthetics. Most often, health issues can be corrected through pruning and the use of organic and eco-friendly solutions. Therefore, we are happy to also provide organic fertilization, compost, and mulching services. Give us a call for a free quote today to help take care of your trees.

    Arborist Consulting

Our team of ISA Certified Arborists provide Arborist Reports, Tree Risk Assessments, Tree, Appraisals, Butternut Health Assessments, Tree Inventories, as well as Nesting Bird Surveys. If you're developing or severing a property, applying for a building permit, or completing major landscaping, you'll likely require an Arborist report and sometimes a Tree Inventory and Preservation Plan before permits can be issued by your local municipality. Also, did you know almost every bird you see in Ontario is protected? Before you engage in tree work, we can provide you a Nesting Bird Survey to prevent harm to a migratory bird, or Species at Risk bird. To learn more about the Acts regulating birds in Ontario, see Migratory Bird Convention Act, Species at Risk Act, Endangered Species Act (Ontario).

About
our company

Atwood Arborist and Land Management is owned and operated by Scott and Erica Gauer, a husband and wife team living in Ontario Canada. We named our business after our son, Atwood, because our mission is to leave our land better off for future generations. We focus our services around Dufferin County (Orangeville) and take pride in building lasting relationships with our neighbors and their trees.

Our staff are fully insured ISA-certified arborists, professional members of the Ontario Professional Foresters Association, and ecologists, and we maintain the highest standards of service in all that we do.

We offer a range of professional arborist, ecology, and forestry services, as well as some unique offerings such as agroforestry design, and “get to know your forest” tours where we show you some of the food and medicine growing all around you.
